A poem I wrote

Hunter or Hunted?
Captivating green gaze,
A soft rustle of fur.
Never alone,
A hunted feeling clings to the air.

Shadows in the trees,
Of creatures lurking,
Waiting for their next meal.
Screeching, a squeal, then all is silent.

Slowly creeping forward,
Forest scents overlain with,
Fresh needles atop the leaf mold,
Pricking the paws of the pursuer.

Eyes alert, shining with excitement,
Searching for unseen things.
Again a feeling clings to the air,
But this time it's different, new.

A strange sense of calm fills the world,
Soon it will be gone,
Replaced with sorrow,
For the hunter in the stars.

Well, I just kind of thought of it off the top of my head, like I do when I rp Fernkit, Sunpaw, or any of my other characters on the other warriors boards.

All my friends have told me that I have true talent. They all say that I should be a writer when I get out of high school. It's something I want to pursue.

I entered this poem in the poetry.com contest, and they said that they will publish it. It has also gone straight to the semi-finals, which means that I could win the grand prize of $1000, or I could win the annual grand prize of $10,000!!!!!!! I'm so happy!!!!!!!
